Emmanuel Wamimbi

Emmanuel Wamimbi is a highly rated and reputable advocate of the High Court and Court subordinate thereto with vast experience in legal practice and consultancy; he holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons) from Makerere University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre with an experience of over 15 years in private practice.
He is currently the managing Partner at E. Wamimbi Advocates, a top tier Law firm Uganda. Emmanuel is a Member of the Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society and the International Bar Association.

With his experience Emma brings legal advice and business expertise to Toto Africa and supports and advices on appropriate institutional set-up, certification, HR practises and so on.

Dagmar Zwebe

Dagmar Zwebe is an enthusiastic, energetic, curious and professional person with a passion for Gender and Social Inclusion, Climate Change and Renewable Energy, sustainable development and (multi)cultural environments. With two Master degrees in both “Industrial Engineering and Management” and “Poverty Reduction: Policy and Practice”, her focus is on sustainable, inclusive and durable project/program development and delivery, technology transfer and capacity building.

Trudy is currently the Country Representative for the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Uganda where she aims to ensure timely, high quality design and delivery of GGGI’s commitments to the Government of Uganda, GGGI’s donors and other stakeholders. Dagmar is working closely together with the team in Uganda and globally to support all stakeholders in achieving socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable and resource efficient green growth in Uganda. Prior to joining the GGGI Uganda team, Dagmar was the Deputy Country Representative of the GGGI Indonesia Green Growth Program.

With >15 years of work experience on 4 continents, Trudy brings a wealth of knowledge and relevant experience to the ToTo Africa Board being able to specifically provide guidance on matters of management and organisational structures, project design and implementation, inclusivity, energy and more.

Saana Ahonen Kuva

Ms. Saana Ahonen is a global development professional with 10+ years of work experience in designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring & evaluating development cooperation in three continents.
Her experience ranges from working with community level energy access and productive use projects and formulating gender and inclusivity approaches for multi-year development programmes to managing complex regional development programmes in innovation and private sector development. She has experience working with NGOs, private sector, government agencies and the UN system.

Ms. Ahonen is a seasoned sustainability and climate change expert with a passion to use her expertise to contribute to poverty reduction, equal opportunities and climate resilient development. Currently she is working as a Senior Adviser for climate change and development policy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of her native country Finland, and previously served as Climate Change Specialist at the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Center in Kampala, Uganda.

Ms. Ahonen holds a MSc degree in Environmental Science and Technology and a BSc degree in Environmental Engineering & Management. She brings to the board experience in business development, project and programme management, and the international development partner community, and will ensure that ToTo’s approaches are environmentally sound and support increased climate resilience in the beneficiary communities.

Tim Selders

Tim Selders is an innovation guide, with 25 years of experience in the global innovation industry. He has led extensive programs in the area of innovation management and leadership for large organisations such as LEGO, HP, Roca, BMW, Unilever and more.

After traveling through Uganda on a motorbike, Tim Selders fell in love with this beautiful country. During this trip, Tim got to know George and the great activities of George’s NGO Toto Africa. Feeling strongly about the cause of ‘empowering women’, Tim offered his help in the form of donations, thoughts on innovation and relations to relevant organizations. After visiting the women that are participating in the projects with George, Tim is an even stronger supporter of Toto Africa and proud to be a board member.
